Over 9.000 people from 55 countries took part in the 7th edition of the Bucharest International Marathon in Piaţa Constituţiei, on the weekend of 4th and 5th of October.
The Vodafone Romania Foundation could not miss out on this amazing display of health and active lifestyle. We supported the participation of 20 athletes at the Bucharest marathon, for two organisations with whom we collaborate often: The Casa Speranţei Hospice Foundation and The Swedish Organisation for Individual Humanitarian Help.
Ever since 2006, The Vodafone Romania Foundation has been supporting the programmes put forward by the Casa Speranţei Hospice Foundation, which offers free palliative care services in Bucharest and Braşov for children and adults suffering from incurable diseases.
We have been endorsing The Swedish Organisation for Individual Humanitarian Help since 2013 and we appreciate the efforts they make to provide specialized services, in the realm of sensory stimulation, psychological, psychiatric and educational evaluation and counselling, catering to youths suffering from intellectual and developmental disabilities from Bucharest and Voluntari.
