The Vodafone Romania Foundation is a non-governmental organization with charitable status, heavily involved in disadvantaged communities throughout Romania.
Established in 1998 as a legal entity, distinct and independent from the commercial operations of Vodafone, the Vodafone Romania Foundation is a Romanian non-governmental organization heavily involved in supporting disadvantaged communities throughout Romania.
Through projects financed and implemented in partnership with powerful NGOs, the Vodafone Romania Foundation helps the sick and the persons with special needs, supports the education of children and young people, encourages volunteering and social engagement, helps the elderly and disadvantaged families.
Since its establishment until today, the Vodafone Romania Foundation has invested in communities across Romania over 28 million euros. Along with 660 non-governmental organizations, the Foundation has developed 1,104 projects for the benefit of more than 2,7 million Romanians in vulnerable situations and it has built 186 social houses.
In recent years, the Vodafone Romania Foundation has focused on projects that exploit mobile technology innovations to change for the better the lives of sick or disadvantaged people.
The Vodafone Foundation is independent of the commercial operations of the Vodafone company and it is a distinct legal entity.
